Lois Sullivan Thomas, 97, of Versailles, widow of David Thomas, died Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, at her residence. Born in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Ann Litsey Sullivan. She was a graduate of Harrodsburg High School and the University of Kentucky, a former board chairman of the Woodford Memorial Hospital, and a past member of Woodford County Woman’s Club. She was a member and a former Sunday school teacher of the Versailles United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Ginny (Dale) Eckert, Versailles; a son, Bo (Pat) Thomas, Versailles; a brother, John A. Sullivan, Harrodsburg; and four grandchildren, Casey (Joshua) Kight, Kelly (Zach) Furr, Matt Thomas, and Chris Thomas, all of Versailles. Two brothers, Charles B. Sullivan III and William L. Sullivan, are deceased. The family wishes to acknowledge their appreciation to her caregivers, Carolyn F. Gallagher and Kimberly E. Cottingham. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, followed by a service at 7 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Tim Thompson.
