Josephine Greene Davis, 95, widow of Walter F. Davis, died Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, with her family by her side. Born March 12, 1920, in Midway, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Hattie Prible Greene. She was a member of Victory Christian Church and a homemaker. Survivors include a daughter, Lully J. Cassity; two sons, Robert L. Davis (Sandy) and Warren W. Davis; seven grandchildren, Walter Lee "Pete" Davis (Jennifer), Mandy Davis-Bucy (Kent), Amy Schreiber (Joe), Shannah Davis-Reynolds (Paul), Brian Cassity (Tara), Stephen Cassity (Amanda), and Carrie Jo Hom (Jason); 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were conducted Monday, Feb. 22, at Kerr Bros. – Main Street, Lexington, by Pastor Carl Wagner.
