Viola Walton Terry, 87, of Versailles, widow of Henry A. Terry, died Monday, March 7, 2016, at her home. Born in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late Wylie Carl and Arlie Gertrude Sowers Walton. She was a retired quality control inspector for Rand McNally & Co. and a longtime member of the Cross Pointe Church. Survivors include two sons, Steve Terry, Versailles, and David Terry, Lexington; three sisters, Peggy Felts, Lexington, Donna Tinsley, Indianapolis, Ind., and Betty Beasley, Lawrenceburg; four brothers, Billy Walton and Jerry Wayne Walton, both of Tyrone, and Ronnie Walton and Larry Walton, both of Versailles; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. A sister, Carol Ann Smith, and three brothers, Lewis Walton, Clarence “Scuffles” Walton, and Bobby Walton, are deceased. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, March 10, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryan Roberts. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
