Shirley Boyd Crigger, 78, of Versailles, widow of Ralph E. Crigger, died Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Baptist Healthcare in Lexington. Born in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late John "Red" and Lillie Richardson Boyd. She was a retired accountant for the Commonwealth of Kentucky and attended Grace Fellowship Church in Midway. Survivors include three daughters, Janet (Jimmy) Alexander, Teresa Crigger, and Loretta (Mike) Jefferson, all of Versailles; and a sister, Louise Adams, Maryland. Two sisters, Carolyn Boyd and Dorothy Mae Gillespie, and a brother, Frank Boyd, are deceased. Services were conducted Wednesday, June 8, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by Pastor Teresa Howerton. Burial was in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Casket bearers were Ethan Gillespie, John Ockerman, Jed Edenstrom, Ben Mjos, Leon Denney, and Sam Williams. Honorary bearers were Kim Carmickle, Tommy Gillespie, Angela Gillespie, Clifton "Kip" Gillespie, Charlene Williams, and Mary Sue Cheek.
