Marcellus "Marc" Stepp, 93, of Versailles, died Friday, June 3, 2016. A Versailles native, he was an Army veteran and received a degree in accounting from the University of Detroit in 1963. He was inducted into the university's Hall of Fame in 2011 for his various professional achievements. He was employed by the Chrysler Highland Park Plant for 19 years and was elected as the international vice president of the United Auto Workers Union in 1974. He was also a member of the national board of the NAACP for 14 years and took great pride in his work during the Civil Rights Movement. Visitation will be held beginning at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, June 9, at First Baptist Church of Versailles. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. at the church Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
