Barbara Sue Duncan McMahan, 76, of Frankfort, wife of Mike McMahan, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016. Born May 27, 1940, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Roseman Lee and Anna Morris Duncan. She was a meter maid for the City of Frankfort and a server in the National Guard. She also attended Forks of Elkhorn Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nina Hartley (Rick) Ballard, Winchester, and Roseanna Carmickle, Versailles; four brothers, Bobby (Cleta) Duncan, Versailles, Donald (Wanda) Duncan, Versailles, Larry Duncan, Danville, and Wade (Margaret) Duncan, Indiana; three sisters, Patty Cox, Carlisle, Teri (Michael) Lewis, Versailles, and Kathy (Jamie) Garrett, Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Jessica Hartley, Hope Hartley (Chad Swatsler), Thomas Carmickle and Eric (Jessica) Carmickle; and two great-grandchildren, Holland Kate Swatsler and Adaline Sage Carmickle.
Services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, by Todd Lester. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502.
