Charlene Updike Haynes, 71, died Monday, Nov. 21, 2016. Born April 13, 1945, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Oliver and Mary Updike. Survivors include four children, Gary Haynes (Lisa), Paris, Dana Craycraft (Stephen), Winchester, Andy Haynes, North Middletown, and Brent Haynes, North Middletown; five siblings, Retta Richardson, Versailles, Mary Lee Lippert (Fred), Versailles, Billy Updike, Versailles, Paul Updike, Lexington, and Terry Updike, Versailles; and 10 grandchildren, Chris, Logan, Lindsay, John, and Mason Haynes, and Frankie, Seratt, Courtney, Heidi, and Brooke Craycraft. A brother, Coleman Updike, is deceased. A graveside service was conducted Monday, Nov. 28, at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, Frankfort, was in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
