Sylvia G. McWilliams Smith, 81, widow of Robert Stanley Smith, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2017, at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington. Born in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Patrick and Mattie Bell Carpenter McWilliams. She was a former Texas Instrument employee. Survivors include two daughters, Nona Perez (Antonio), Versailles, and Bobbi Faye Highland (Duke), Lexington; a son, Michael Anthony Smith, Versailles; a brother, Albert “Happy” McWilliams, Florida; six grandchildren, Steven Foster, Lorrie Wade, Shane Smith, Hope Arteaga, Justin Montgomery, and Kristen Smith; and three great-grandchildren. Graveside services were conducted Monday, Jan. 30, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel by the Rev. Robbie Phillips. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
