Earl Wilcox, 76, of Versailles, husband of Patsy Wright Wilcox, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2017, at Baptist Health Lexington. Born in Middlesboro, he was the son of the late Nelson and Sadie Branscomb Wilcox. He was a retired truck driver for Woodford Feed Company. Survivors include three sons, James Wilcox (Brenda), Florida, Anthony E. Wilcox (Robyn), Lawrenceburg, and Christopher Wilcox (Rebecca), Georgia; three siblings, Irene, Helen, and Geneva; and five grandchildren, Zach Simpson, Elizabeth Wilcox, Tyler Wilcox, Bridger Wilcox, River Wilcox, and Brier Wilcox. Eight siblings, Joe Dan, Nellie, Jack, Doris, Clarence, John Henry, and Mearl, are deceased. Services will be conducted at noon today, Thursday, Feb. 2, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Marshall Reynolds and the Rev. Shane Wilcox. Burial will be in the Athens- Boonesboro Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Anthony Wilcox, Christopher Wilcox, Mike Wilcox, Danny Giles, Zach Simpson, and Jimmy Wilcox. Honorary bearer will be Charles Miracle.
