Almedia Rachel Moore Buffin, 95, widow of Chester Buffin, died Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Sayre Christian Village. Born in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Leonard C. and Obedience Rachel Stivers Moore. She was retired from Taylor Drug and a former seamstress at Barrett's Sewing Factory. She was a member of Westview Baptist Church, where she had previously served as a Sunday school clerk and a former member of the Women's Missionary Union. Survivors include a daughter, Martha Johnson, Nicholasville; a son, Gilbert (Nancy) Pacey Jr., Stamping Ground; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A son, Ray Pacey; a daughter, Latonia Abshear; four sisters, Sylvia Pence, Goldie Smith, Ann Nader, and Sunbeam Davis; and three brothers, Bill Moore, Luther Moore, and Darnell Moore, are deceased. Graveside services were conducted Monday, July 31, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Frankfort, by Bro. Gary Hager.
