Junior King, 75, husband of Myrtle Manley King, and former employee of Shriners Children Hospital, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017.
Born Sept. 23, 1942, in Winchester, he was the son of the late Roy Lee and Anna Mae Watkins King.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Gerald L. King; a stepdaughter, Carol Blackford (Richard); two stepsons, Billy “Slick” Carpenter (Reda), all of Versailles; and Allen Perkins, of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Ashley Taylor King and Brandon Michael King.
Services were conducted Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Hillcrest Baptist Church. Burial followed at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Leonard Sutherland, Chad Lewis Young, Mike Curtis, Herman Hardesty, Roger Garrison, and Gary Greiner.
