Shelia Karen Ryan, 69, wife of Dana Ryan, died Thursday, May 3, 2018.
Born on Sept. 8, 1948, in Richmond, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Murphy and Juanita Estes Snapp. She was self-employed as a painter.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy (Chris) Ott, Versailles; and Sandy (Christopher Dolt) Brentlinger, Lexington; a stepson, Robert Ryan, Springfield; a stepdaughter, Wendy Penwell, Lawrenceburg; a sister, Linda Landers, Georgetown; two brothers, Mike Owens, Colarado; and Donald Murphy, Lexington; and five grandchildren, Brittany Henderlight, Katrina Allender, Destiny Brentlinger, Nathan Dolt, and Zack Ott.
A gathering of family and friends was held Wednesday, May 9, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
