Ruby Murphy Smith, 81, widow of Ike Smith, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.
Born on July 14, 1937, in Casey County, she was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Wilson Murphy in Casey County, Kentucky.
Survivors include four children, Linda Downey, Lawrenceburg; Tammy Sims, Danville; William “Tommy” Smith, Lawrenceburg; and Jason (Sherry) Smith, Harrodsburg; four sisters, Ethel Lawson, Salvisa; Martha Murphy, Versailles; Becky Florian, Harrodsburg; and Ida Southerland, Versailles; two brothers, Johnny Murphy, Lawrenceburg; and Jimmie Murphy, Georgetown; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Terry Smith; and three siblings, Elsie Florian, Norman Kincaid and Sammy Murphy.
Services were held, Saturday, Aug. 4, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill in Versailles, by Pastor Deborah Peach.
