John “Jack” Eugene Galvin, 88, husband of Ann Ehinger Galvin, died Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at Baptist Health, Lexington.
Born on Dec. 27, 1929, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Thomas and Ruth Grondie Galvin. He was a graduate from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon and served as Eminent Supreme Archon. He was employed in automotive sales with Maremont and Arvin.
In addition to his wife of 66 years, he is survived by four children, Amy (Granville) Hampton, Christiansburg, Virginia; Patrick (Lisa) J. Galvin, Lexington; Michael (Becky) J. Galvin, West Chester, Ohio; and Joseph (Lisa) C. Galvin, Columbus, Ohio; six grandchildren, Charles Galvin, John Galvin, Jennifer Bowman, Carolyn Hampton, Hope Noe and John Cruz; and one great-granddaughter, Lydia Joy Galvin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Robert Galvin
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Versailles Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Versailles Presbyterian Church, 130 North Main Street, Versailles, Ky. 40383.
