Julia G. Devers, 66, wife of Jim Devers, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2019.
Julia was born January 11, 1953 to the late Loren and Susie Harmon Gaskin, in Russell Springs. She had been employed by and was retired from Community Trust Bank. She was a member of Midway Christian Church and a graduate of Midway College. Julia was an active member of the Midway Women’s Club and loved using her unique talents in making all kinds of crafts.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter; Rebecca Mazumdar, New York; a sister, Geraldine Aaron; four brothers, Donald (Joyce) Gaskin, Lenton (Arlene) Gaskin, Gary (Jo) Gaskin and David (Elaine) Gaskin; a mother-in-law, Mary Devers; brother and sister-in-laws; Jim (Gloria) Batts and Rick (Janet) Devers, all of Versailles; and a chosen sister, Nancy Lu Prewitt, Midway; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy Blair, Janice Montgomery and Waneta Gaskin.
Services will be planned at a later date.
Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, are in charge of arrangements.
