John B. Mount III, 89, widower of Alma Craig Mount, died Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at Thomson Hood Veterans Center.
Born on June 13, 1929, in Shelbyville, he was the son of the late John B. Mount Jr. and Letty Ware Mount. He was a quarry manager for Vulcan Materials and a veteran of the United States Army.
Survivors include a daughter, Tish (Stephen) Sexton, Versailles; a son, Craig (Georgia) Mount, LaGrange; a grandson, Tony (Kayla) Mount; and two great-grandchildren, Dixon and Deacon Mount.
Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday, March 8, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Dennis Magnum. Visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until the time of service. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
