Tony J. Goins, 62, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2019. He was born to the late James and Mary (Carroll) Goins in Cleveland, Tennessee. Tony served his country proudly in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne as a combat engineer, and he was retired from the U.S. Postal after 37 years of service. Tony lived in Versailles and is survived by his loving wife, Michelle; children, Rachael, Phillip, Zach and Rachel; sister, Cindy Johnson; niece and nephew, Emma and Jake; aunt, Becky (Milford) Weathers; and uncle, Gale Carroll. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ortha Carroll; and very special niece, Terra. Family will receive friends for visitation from 5 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21 at Milward – Southland, located at 391 Southland Drive, Lexington. A celebration of Tony’s life will be held today, Thursday, Aug. 22, at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal service with military honors will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m.
