Arthur David Honican Jr., 59, husband of Tina Honican, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2019. Born on July 18, 1960, in Lexington, he was the son of the late Judith Ann and Arthur David Honican Sr. He was a 1979 graduate of Woodford County High School, a 1983 graduate of Union College and graduated from United Theological Seminary, Dayton, in 1986. During his career as a minister, he served as pastor at Benham UMC, Ludlow UMC, South Shore UMC, Williamstown UMC, Ryland Heights UMC and Louisa 1st UMC. In addition to his wife of 37 years, he is survived by two sisters, Cindy (Rick) Reed and Susan Brothers, both of Versailles, a foster son, Jesse (Kayla) Stevens, Lovely; and two nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Scott Honican; and two sisters, Michelle Marie Honican and Melissa Ann Honican. Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Tony Campbell. Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
