WCHS FOOTBALL: The bye week has helped heading into a Friday night clash with West Jessamine, but injuries are still a concern for the Yellow Jackets. Coach Dennis Johnson says Amartae Rice is questionable to play, Skyelar Johnson is at least four weeks away from a full recovery and several nagging injuries could interfere with depth in the trenches on both sides of the ball. WCHS JV FOOTBALL: After a win over Lexington Christian, the younger Yellow Jackets are now 4-2 this season. KEENON LAINE: The WCHS graduate turned world-competitor said he was frustrated with his performance at the World Championships in Qatar, “But on the bright side, out of all the high jumpers in the world, I’m the 25th best.” WRESTLING: Three Woodford wrestlers are set to participate in Saturday’s All-Star Classic at Scott High School. Ashley Courtney (106), Gavin Andreoni (126) and Triston Brooks (170) will all get on the mat in Taylor Mill.
