- WCHS FOOTBALL: Offers are still trickling in for several Yellow Jacket football players. Running back Amartae Rice has received offers from Thomas More and Lindsey Wilson, among others. Offensive tackle Daegan Bush has earned another Division-I offer, this time from Eastern Illinois (perhaps best known for current 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo). Senior lineman Lucas Brocato, who missed the back half of the season with an injury, has recieved offers from Thomas More and Union College.
- COACH DENNIS JOHNSON: The WCHS football coach was inducted into the Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Hall of Fame Saturday, Jan. 4 in Lexington.
- ASHLEY COURTNEY: Following her historic victory at the Woodford County Invitational, the WCHS wrestler was recognized Tuesday by Mayor Brian Traugott and the Versailles City Council.
- MIDWAY UNIVERSITY: The mens’ basketball team is 6-7 following a Monday win over Berea. The Eagles host Point Park University Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The Lady Eagles basketball team has started strong with an 11-2 record. They also host Point Park on Thursday with tip-off set for 5:30 p.m.
