Neleata “Nita” McCane, 62, died Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2019. Born on July 30, 1957, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Charles Russell and Dorothy Marie Chadwell Lambert. She was a seamstress and supervisor at Fruit of the Loom. Survivors include three sons, Jimmy (Kate) McCane, Billy (Tommy) McCane and Joshua McCane; a sister, Mary (Mark) Workman; six grandchildren, Micheala, Kaitlynne, Alex, Kennedy, Brice and Jace; and a great-granddaughter, Kyleigh. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Lambert; and two brothers, Howard Lambert and Jody Lambert. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Midway Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 1 until 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at the church. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, is in charge of arrangements.
