Raymond Max Hippe, 91, husband of Barbara Disponette Hippe, died Monday, Feb. 3, 2020. Born on Jan. 17, 1929, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late James Franklin and Dora Hackney Hippe. He was a farmer, a member of the FFA, where he was awarded the Honorary Chapter Farmer award, as well as Woodford County Farm Bureau Pioneer Farmer in 2001 and the Distinguished Farmer by Woodford County Farm Tour Committee in 2009. He was an active member of Sand Springs Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg. In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by five daughters, Carolyn (David) Hippe McDonald-Johnson, Pam (Jackie) Hippe Brown, Terri Max Hippe, Penny (Dwayne) Hippe Neal and Lea Ann Jackson; 11 grandchildren, Mark McDonald, Jennifer Crowe, Cindy McDonald, Tiffany Evans, Travis Brown, Brent Neal, Blake Hippe, Brian Wooldridge, Missy Brown, Lannas Tedrow and Michael Raymond Curry; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Raymond Denton Hippe and Mike Curry; three sisters, Irene Watts, Mary Grace Sutherland and June Hippe; and seven brothers, Everett, Harry Franklin, Charles Lane, Woodrow, James, Robbie and B.R. Hippe. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 6, at Clark Funeral Home, Rose Hill, by the Rev. Mike Hamrick. Casket bearers will be Mark McDonald, Travis Brown, Brent Neal, Brian Wooldridge, Lannas Tedrow and Michael Raymond Curry. Burial will follow in Rose Crest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to service at the funeral home.
