Joyce Woolums Slugantz, 75, died Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Born on Aug. 12, 1944, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Lena Fox Woolums. She was retired from OHI America. Survivors include a daughter, Cherie (Ernie) McMurray, Versailles; two sons, Daniel Slugantz, Lawrenceburg; and Mark Slugantz, Missouri; two sisters, Faye Slugantz, Georgetown; and Jean Thurman, Versailles; a brother, Cecil Woolums, Lexington; 12 grandchildren, Eric, Matthew and Michael Slugantz, Danille Moore, Laura and Clint Slugantz, Josh and Brooke Slugantz, Scarlett Slugantz, Andrea Roberts, Benjamine Sargent and David Clark; and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Terry and Alan Slugantz. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, was in charge of arrangements.
