Lones Omaray Taulbee, 79, of Lexington, husband of Linda Taulbee, died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020, at Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington. He was the son of the late Jobenna E. Creech. He was a member of South Elkhorn Baptist Church. He graduated from Lafayette High School. He served as a Fayette County sheriff for 17 years receiving many award and recognitions. In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by two daughters Shawn (Tom) Hickey and Renee (Will) Harper; and five grandchildren, Brandon True, Bradley R. True, Elliott R. Harper, William Omaray Harper and Brooklyn S. Hickey. Services were conducted Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home, by Bro. Loyde Jolly. Pallbearers were Will Harper, Tom Hickey, Brandon True, Brad True, Wills Harper, Stanley Haynes and Shane Rousey. Honorary pallbearers were Frank Abrams, Frank Woodson, Ron Charlet, Gary Lawson, Larry Lawson, Tony Haynes, Ricky Vaught, Jason Haynes and Jessie Eaton. Interment followed in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens, Lexington. Memorial contributions may be made to South Elkhorn Baptist Church, 4867 Versailles Road, Lexington, Ky. 40510.
