Barbara Perkins Sharp, 83, widow of Raymond Wade Sharp, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at her home.

Born on March 14, 1937, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Madison and Maggie Sturgeon Perkins. She was a 1955 graduate of Versailles High School. She retired from Kuhlman Electric after more than 20 years of employment and attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Gayla (Henry) Boone, Springfield; a son-in-law, Rocky Finley, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Jason Sanders, Springfield; Kristen (Jacob) Smither and Jordan (Addie Denington) Finley, both of Versailles; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Finley; and five brothers, John, Melvin, Walter, Allen and Lewis Perkins.

A private service was held. Pallbearers were Jason Sanders, Jordan Finley, Jacob Smither, Barry Hibbard, Allen Perkins, Ervin Manley and Josh Gipson. Honorary pallbearers were Sandra Chilton, Henry Boone and Rocky Finley. A private interment was in Rose Crest Cemetery.
