In the Oct. 22 issue, it was incorrectly reported that the Elder Abuse and Exploitation and Awareness Week proclamation shown in a photo related to poor treatment of a senior citizen in a nursing home. Kathy Sanders’ Flowing Well Foundation was inspired by what she describes as the exploitation and poisoning of her father, and her nonprofit is designed to help prevent such things from happening to others.
