Alan Boyd Lancaster, 65, died Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at home.
Born on Feb. 4, 1955, in Versailles, he was the son of Ethel Barrick Lancaster and the late Saint E. Lancaster. He was a member of Versailles Church of God.
Survivors include a sister, Debbie (Russell) Fannin, Versailles; four brothers, Phillip “Spanky” (Donna) Lancaster, Versailles; Mark (Annie) Lancaster, Burnside; Loren (Linda) Lancaster, Versailles; and Daniel “Joe” (Donna) Lancaster, Frankfort; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Lancaster and Louis Lancaster.
A private service will be held Friday, Jan. 8, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Carney, Nathan Lancaster, Jonathan Fannin, Jason Fannin, Mark Lancaster Jr. and Joshua Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers will be Rodney Murphy, Keith Curry, Daniel Hamilton, Chase Hamilton, Noah Branham, Keith Branham, Jonah Branham, Russell Fannin, Carl Lay and Mo and Tina at Fast Stop in Versailles. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, Jan. 7, at the funeral home.
