Bobby Gene Pittman, 79, husband of Ann Dycus Pittman, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.
Born on July 21, 1941, in Midway, he was the son of the late George Henry Pittman and Ida Keith Pittman. He had retired from Topy Corp, was a former police officer for the City of Midway, and a volunteer firefighter. He was a member of the Holly Hill Church of Christ.
In addition to his wife of 53 years, he is survived by a daughter, Kimberly (Mike) Whittaker, Frankfort; a son, Martin (Emily) Pittman, Harrodsburg; four sister-in-laws, Dean (James) Gibson, Tennessee; Mary Jenkins, Genny Dycus, both of Wisconsin; and Marolyn Dycus, Florida; a brother, Clarence “Snookie” Pittman, Lawrenceburg; and four grandchildren, Cameron, Shelby, Grace and Grayson.
A private service was held. Casket bearers were Todd Best, Tom Owens, Scott Trent, Marty Pittman, Mike Whittaker, Cameron Whittaker, Rick Caudle and Tom Roach. Honorary casket bearers were Bobby Allison, Bill Whittaker, Bob Tankersley and Ernie Casey. Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holly Hill Church of Christ.
