Linda Carol Vice Cole, 72, widow of Richard “Dick” F. Cole, died Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021.
Born on Oct. 29, 1948, in Mt Sterling, she was the daughter of Betty Calvert Vice and the late W.C. Vice. She was the former co-owner of Casual Living and Patio Center and was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Stephanie Mitchell, Georgetown; a son, Keith Mitchell, Versailles; two stepsons, Matt Cole, Versailles; and Andy Cole, Lexington; a sister, Lydia Abnee, Lexington; a brother, Carl Vice, Lexington; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and father, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Zachary Mitchell.
A private service will be held today, Thursday, Jan. 14, at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Road, by Dr. Rick Landon. Casket bearers will be Matt Cole, Andy Cole, Kevin Sexton, Keith Mitchell, Stephanie Mitchell and Aaron Mitchell. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pinckard Baptist Church or Hospice Care of the Bluegrass.
