Ray Coleman Wise, 83, widower of Rachel Ann Wise, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born on July 12, 1937, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Luther and Margery Wise. He was a retired thoroughbred horse farm manager with Heatherland Farm, Georgetown. Survivors include six children, Edith (Joe) Manns, Margaret (Danny) Couch, both of Versailles; Karen (Tom) Liddle, Madison, Alabama; Phillip (Norma) Wise, Lexington; and Faye (Scottie) Wooldridge and Patricia Wise, both of Frankfort, a sister, Mary Jo Hudson; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Steven Wise; two sisters, Helen Sharp and Caroline Brown; and two brothers, David Wise and Clinton Wise. Services were held Thursday, Jan. 28, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Scottie Wooldridge, Derek Couch, Chad Atha, Timmy Casey, Carl Smith and Steve Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Joe Manns, Danny Couch, Tom Liddle, Ryan Couch and Steven Owens. Burial followed in Rose Crest Cemetery.
