Della Mae Tucker Atwell, 96, of Lexington, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021.

Born on Oct. 6, 1924, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Everett Tucker and Della Tucker. She graduated from Versailles High School in 1942 and worked at Kentucky Utilities and Second National Bank. She had also been a bookkeeper and accountant for Bluegrass Auto Body in Lexington. She was a member of Tates Creek Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Jayne Hill Lancaster; a stepdaughter, Jane (Ralph) Ann Blakeman; two grandchildren William (Ann) Wesley Lancaster and LeAnne Lancaster Brooks; and four great-grandchildren, William (Shelby) Dylan Lancaster, Caroline Blythe Lancaster, Allison (Conner) Brooks Sebastian and Addie Mae Brooks. In addition to her husband, James Atwell, she was preceded in death by a son, William Dale Lancaster; and six siblings, Everett “June” Tucker, Henry Tucker, Myrtle Hogan, Margaret Clegg, Joanne Arnold and Raymond Tucker.

Services were held Monday, Feb. 8, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jordan Tucker, Alan Tucker, Dan Riffe, Kris Riffe, Dylan Lancaster and Wes Lancaster. Honorary pallbearers were Marlon Strings, Mark Griffin and Nolan Sanchez. Burial followed in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
