Tommie Jean Brown Cole, 78, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at Baptist Health Lexington.

Born on Nov. 22, 1942, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Emma Williams Brown. She retired from Texas Instruments in Versailles and was a member of Imani Baptist Church in Lexington.

Survivors include two children, Darsel (Angela) Cole, Frankfort; and George (Carolyn) Cole IV, Versailles; four siblings, Myrtle Granville, Lexington; Barbara Parker, Versailles; Charlene (Jimmy) Henderson, Lexington; and Willie (Darice) Brown, Nicholasville; sister-in-law, Geraldine Brown, Versailles; five grandchildren, DeMon Cole, DarKeisha Estill, both Lexington; Kimberly Thornton, George Cole V, and Kamille (Roy) Kitchen, all of Versailles; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Denise Cole; a brother, Charlie Brown Jr.; and a sister, Mary Toller.

A private service be held at 12 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 25, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home, by the Rev. Willis Polk. Private interment will be in Steele Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. today, Thursday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home. Those attending services must wear proper facial covering and follow social distancing guidelines.
