Robert Bray Jr., 76, widower of Della Bray, former resident of Midway, died Wednesday, March 17, 2021, at Green Valley Care Center in New Albany, Indiana.

He was born Nov. 29, 1944 in Garrard County. He spent most of his life working with horses, primarily foaling mares, and was employed by several area farms including Hurstland Farm and Airdrie Stud.

He is survived by four children, Bobby (Stephanie) Bray, David (Mary Lou) Todd, Willie Todd and Della (Mike) Whitlock; a sister, Barbara Noe; a brother, Jerry Goforth; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his mother, Josie Goforth; two brothers, Earl Hamilton and Billy Hamilton; and a sister, Stella Brim.

A private service was conducted Monday, March 22, by Pastors Jeff Lytle and Ed Nichols, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Burial followed in Midway Cemetery.
