VERSAILLES BAPTIST Church’s Easter Sunday service at Community Stadium
had 737 people in attendance, senior pastor Michael Cabell said. Drake
Godman, right, was baptized by Cabell. Charles Durbin, Lisa Durbin and
Phyllis Ashley, pictured from left in bottom photo, were among the
attendees on the field during the outdoor service April 4. Being
outdoors offered “an opportunity for a large group of Christians to
assemble … in a very safe manner … on the most important day of the year
for a church,” said Cabell.
