Michael Wayne Bowers, age 58, of Versailles, husband of Sylvia Bowers,
passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021, at the University of Kentucky
Chandler Hospital.
He was born in Independence, Kansas on March 5, 1963, the son of Susan
Parsons of Versailles and Mike Bowers of Texas. A graduate of Woodford
County High School and Kentucky Vocational & Technical School, Mike was
also a member of the First Christian Church in Hopkinsville. Mike was a
HVAC technician for Coleman-Smith and enjoyed sports cars and shooting
his guns.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by three sons, Dylan
Bowers, Luke (Michelle) Parker and Matthew Parker; grandchildren, Jaelyn
Parker and Mason Parker; a sister, Wendy Jensen; uncles, Alfred (Janine)
Davie and Gene Davie; and an aunt, Marlene Hall. He was preceded in
death by maternal grandparents, Susan and Reeves Davie; paternal
grandparents, Marguerite Goll and Lewis Bowers; aunts, Janice Davie and
Gloria Grady; and stepfather, Bobby Parsons.
Services were held Wednesday, April 21, at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home,
Harrodsburg Road.
