Robert “Bob” James Shute, 85, husband of Margaret Chapman Shute, died
Thursday, April 15, 2021, at his residence.
Born on Jan. 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Fredrick and Amie West
Shute. He was retired from Veterans Hospital of Lexington, where he was
the animal research supervisor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Brenda (Ted Zorn)
Shute, New Zealand; two sons, David (Lourie) Shute, Arkansas; and Daniel
Shute, Nicholasville; a sister, Shirley Boak, Syracuse, New York; seven
grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents,
he was preceded in death by a son, James Robert Shute.
