Billie Jean Manning, 72, died Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at her home in
Lexington.
Born on Feb. 3, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Burney Warren and
Doris Bennett Manning. She was a graduate of Waynesburg Memorial High
School. She was a retired executive with IBM and after IBM retirement
worked at Lake Cumberland Resort and for the Chandler Foundation.
Survivors include six siblings, Elaine Hangis, Versailles; Libby Elks,
Nicholasville; Burney Lee Manning, Somerset; Tim Manning, Lexington;
Marc Manning, Versailles; and Joe Manning, Lexington; and nieces,
nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she
was preceded in death by a brother, James David Manning, and a sister,
Linda Susan Manning.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
