James Bennett Wetzel, 80, of Versailles, died Friday, April 30, 2021, at
Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
He was a Navy veteran and a retired registered nurse from Ireland Army
Community Hospital.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Elizabeth Allis Wetzel,
Versailles; two sons, Thomas (Jennifer) Edward Wetzel and Todd (Heather)
Andrew Wetzel; and three grandchildren, Sam, Elise and Claire.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Stithton Baptist
Church in Radcliff. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery
Central in Radcliff with military honors. Visitation will be from 6
until 8 p.m. today, Thursday, May 6, at Nelson-Edelen-Bennett Funeral
Home in Radcliff and Friday beginning at 11:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the
church.
