West Virginia native, Douglas MacAuthur “Mack” Keaton, 78, of
Versailles, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 16, 2021,
surrounded by family due to a terminal illness.
He was a loving husband to his best friend and wife, Shelby Jean for 58
years, as well as an amazing father and grandfather.
Mack did not know a stranger and loved all his friends dearly, including
his Kentucky Utility co-workers of over 20 years. He loved the outdoors
and enjoyed gardening, his bees, hunting and horseback riding. He loved
to fish more than anything but could not catch a fish to save his life.
He leaves his wife Shelby Jean Adams; son, Mitchell Keaton; daughter,
Nicole Wheatley, and husband Danny Wheatley; daughter, Ricki Keaton; and
granddaughter, Kaitlyn Wheatley.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him.
Visitation will be from 2 until 5 p.m. Saturday, May 22, at Blackburn &
Ward Funeral Home with services following at 5 p.m.
