Carolynn J. Settle, 81, widow of Jerry Settle, passed away on Wednesday,
June 16, 2021.
She was born in Childress, Texas to the late Homer L. Rascoe and Ilona
McAllister McGee on July 14, 1939. Ms. Settle was a retired RN and sold
Home Interiors for over 40 years. Formally of Bluffton, Indiana, she
was a member of Frist Church of Christ and very active in various clubs.
After moving to Versailles with her daughters, she was a member of
Journey Church and the Bluegrass Community Hospital Auxiliary. Ms.
Settle loved being around people and playing bridge.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lori (Randy) Nation
and Peggy Sagstetter, both of Versailles; sisters, Linda (Glenn)
Uyenoma, Washington; and Jada (Don) Masten, Texas; brother, H.L.
(Charolette) Rascoe, Florida; grandchildren, Kiel (Ashley) Nation,
Lindsay (Austin) Jones, Brianne (Cam) Carter, Lora (Luke) Harris, Cole
(Katie) Sagstetter, Seth Sagstetter and Mikayla Sagstetter; and
great-grandchildren, Sophie Carter and James Sagstetter. In addtion to
her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Bill
Settle and sister, Gloria Rascoe.
A Celebration of Life service was held Thursday, June 17, at Journey
Church.
