Kendall Edward Bocard Jr., 79, died Wednesday, June 23, 2021, in Lexington.

He was born in Ashland, on March 29, 1942, to the late Kendall Edward

Sr. and Ruth Mahan Bocard. He played football for the University of

Kentucky, a member of the “Thin Thirty” team, and the Ashland Tomcats,

including their 1958 undefeated season.

Survivors include two sons, Derek (Chelsea) Bocard, of Lexington; Ashton

(Karen) Bocard, of Versailles; grandson, Santiago Bocard; sisters, Judy

Thomas, Mary Lee (John) Humphrey and Norma Thompson; and brother, Warren

Bocard, all of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen

Shipp Bocard.

A Life Celebration Service was held Wednesday, June 30, at Clark Legacy

Center, Brannon Crossing.
