Robert Bowles, 86, husband of 67 years to Darlene Baker Bowles, died

Monday, June 21, 2021, at his home in Harrodsburg.

Born on June 9, 1925, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late

Allen Mason and Katherine Raney Bowles. He was a member of the Shawnee

Run Baptist Church. He was owner and operator of the Udder Delight Dairy

Farm. His favorite time of year was when all of his friends got together

to help him house tobacco. He loved the outdoors, spending time with

family, watching westerns on TV, and he had a special passion for

anything John Deere, especially tractors.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Karen Bowles

Fannin, Harrodsburg; and Kathy Bowles Finney, Fountain City, Indiana; a

sister, Linda (Bobby) Bowles Thompson, Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; eight

grandchildren, Kristie (Roy) Bruner, Billy Fannin II, Matt (Erin)

Fannin, Kayla Fannin, Lyle (Stephanie) Finney, Bradley (Amanda) Finney,

Kelly (Christopher Anderson) Henry and Austin (Keirstan) Finney; 18

great-grandchildren; an aunt, Dorothy Epperson, Grand Junction,

Colorado; special friends, Barbara and Floyd Roark, Woodford County; and

several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Saturday, June 26, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral

Home, with Dr. Fred Cummings officiating. Serving as pallbearers were

Roy Bruner, Kristie Bruner, Billy Allen Fannin II, Matt Fannin, Lyle

Finney, Bradley Finney, Kelly Henry, Austin Finney and Kayla Fannin.

Honorary pallbearers were Bobby Thompson, Kenny Cheek, Floyd Roark,

Brent Sanders, Bob Clark and Kenton Montgomery. Burial was in the

Shawnee Run Baptist Church Cemetery.
