Dorothy Rae Mobley Tatman, 89, widow of Rev. Dr. Harold W. Tatman, died
Sunday, July 11, 2021, at The Homeplace at Midway.
Born in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Laura Cole
Mobley. Dot, as the wife of a Methodist minister, fulfilled her role to
perfection, devoting her support to Harold and his ministry. She was a
talented artist and singer.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Steve) Ward of Versailles; and
Terri (Charles) Rae Wilson of Midway; a sister, Linda Tanner of
Campbellsville; three grandchildren, Heather (Jeremy) Wilson Ruff of
Benton, Arkansas; Robert (Amber) Wilson of Kennesaw, Georgia; Hank
(Tracie) Ward of Lexington; and five great-grandchildren, Gracie Rae
Ruff, Spencer Ruff, Peyton Ward, Parker Wilson and Caroline Wilson. She
was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Qualls, Rosemary Hunter and
Catherine McCormick
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, July 15, at Blackburn
and Ward Funeral Home with Rev. George Strunk officiating. Pallbearers
are Charles Wilson, Steve Ward, Robert Wilson, Hank Ward and Peyton
Ward. Burial will follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens.
