Vickie McAfee Doss, wife of Edward Glynn Doss, died Sunday, July 25, 2021, at her home in Versailles.
Born on March 28, 1965, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late E.J. and Lucy Maxine Long McKinney. She was a 1983 graduate of Woodford County High School and a member of Real Life Church of Frankfort. She had been employed by Kmart in Versailles for several years and worked for the Stewart Home and School in Frankfort.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Brandon (Courtney) McAfee, Frankfort; Ashley (Shawn) Barnes, Lawrenceburg; and Dorsey “D.J.” (Sarah) McAfee Jr., Lexington; three stepchildren, Edward (Katie) Glynn Doss Jr., Lawrenceburg; Caressa (Travis) Dotson, Versailles; and Kelly (Cody) Walker, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Cathy (Wayne) Goodlett, Lawrenceburg; and Sherry McKinney, Somerset; a brother, Michael (Christie) McKinney, Lawrenceburg; 22 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Dorsey McAfee, and two sisters, Patricia Sue Dunnum and Deborah Renner.
Services were conducted Saturday, July 31, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Pallbearers were D.J. McAfee, Brandon McAfee, Shawn Barnes, Travis Dotson, John Doss and Trevor Dotson. Interment followed in Rose Crest Cemetery.
