Charles “Charlie” D. Richards, 64, died Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, Lexington.
Born on July 17, 1957, in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Dan Welch and Lila Horseman Richards. He worked for many years as a gas station attendant at Queen’s Marathon in Versailles.
He is survived by a sister, Danna (William) Brandenburg, Versailles; a brother, Larry (Kay) Richards, Salvisa; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 20, at Blackburn and Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery, Salvisa. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the time of service.
