Jerald Leonard Lavy, 80, husband of Darlene Lavy, died Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at his home in Versailles.
Born on Dec. 25, 1940, in Springfield, Ohio, he was the son of Manold and Leah Lavy of Versailles. He was a minister in good standing in The Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Lavy, Peoria, Arizona; and Douglas Lavy, Newport, Oregon; a brother, Dallas Lavy, Townsend, Montana; and two grandsons, Hunter and Garrison Lavy, Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Lavy, Versailles, and Manold W. Lavy, Oklahoma City.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at the Versailles Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
