Carol Ann Shockley Foley, 76, wife of Russell Foley, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at her home in Salvisa.
Born on Jan. 14, 1945, in Atlanta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Shockley and Dorothy Sauls Perkins. She was a member of Versailles Baptist Church and was the owner and operator of the University of Kentucky Store located in Victorian Square for more than 19 years.
In addition to her husband of 46 years, she is survived by five children, Kevin (Ramona) Foley, Salvisa; Diane Woodrum, Frankfort; Russell Foley, Lawrenceburg; Tammy Foley, Florida; and Libby Foley, Shelbyville; two sisters, Joyce Perkins and Shirley Perkins, both of Versailles; two grandchildren, Kyle Foley and Rebecca Foley; and a great-grandchild, Christopher Pieper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Perkins.
A Celebration of Life service was held Wednesday, Sept. 22, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home.
