Linda Faye Kidd Owens, 70 of Crab Orchard passed away Sunday, Oct. 3, 2021, at Baptist Health in Lexington.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1951, in Hustonville, to the late Claude and Martha Belle Griffin Kidd. She had worked as a long haul truck driver for several years. Linda was baptized at a young age and enjoyed reading, gardening, watching westerns, scrapbooking, and working on the family tree.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Gail Owens and husband, Jimmy Eller; a son, Robert Daniel Dean Owens and wife, Sarah; four sisters, Lou Anna Stevens, Mary Christine Luttrell, Rosalea Owens and Bobby Jean (Dean) Hughes; five grandchildren, Joseph (Lauren) Alan Sayre, Matthew (Alexus Young) Trey Sayre, Kimberly (Justin) James Stapp, John Lewis Wolfe Merryman and Robert Daniel Jackson Owens; and two great-grandchildren, Zion Ka’mel Young and Theodore Joseph Sayre. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by four brothers, William Lawrence Kidd, James Henry Kidd, Ernest Lee Kidd and Claude Kidd Jr.
Services will be held at 12 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7, at McKnight Funeral Home Chapel, 229 Main St., Crab Orchard. Burial will follow in Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 7, at the funeral home.
