Carolyn “Carol” F. Watts, 69, wife of Stephen K. Watts, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2021, at Baptist Health in Lexington.
Born on Oct. 22, 1951, in Versailles, she was the daughter of the late Hugh and Mildred Rose Hutchison. She was a graduate of Lafayette High School in Lexington. She was a member of Hopewell Church. Throughout her life, she sold crop and life insurance, was self-employed through Winstar Farm, and near retirement was part owner of her own consignment shop.
In addition to her husband of 36 years, she is survived by two children, Jarred (Jessica) Jones, Georgetown; and Patrick (Meredith) Watts, Midway; a brother, Jackie (Wilma) Hutchison, Versailles; two grandchildren, Lane Gardner Jones and Audra Renee Jones; and two nieces, Heather Hutchison, Versailles; and Jamie Campbell Megginson, Madison Heights, Virginia.
Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home. Facial coverings will be required, and social distancing is encouraged. Private services will be held following the celebration of life.
