Melissa Frances Lay, 53, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Bluegrass Community Hospital with her children by her side.
Born on April 10, 1968, in Woodford County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Lay and Connie Hood Herrington.
Survivors include two children, Adam Evans and Constance (John) Evans, both of Frankfort; and six grandchildren, Olivia Abner, Elizabeth Abner, Izabelle Abner, Bentley Abner, Landon Evans and Luke Evans. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Cameron Bast and Isaiah Abner; a sister, Deliliah Garland; and two brothers, Mark Garland and Sampson Garland.
A Celebration of Life was held Sunday, Dec. 5, at Blackburn & Ward Funeral Home.
